XL Hand Carved Dumortierite Skull

This stunning hand carved skull is made of dumortierite, a member of the silicate family. Dumortierite is composed of hydrated aluminosilicate and is found in colors ranging from blue to violet in places like Madagascar and Brazil.

This lovely skull has a slightly striped sky blue and white color profile. As far as skulls go, this carving is one of the best we've ever found. It features hollows in the mandible and temporal bone and it has an amazing weight to it.
