Indian Apophyllite Specimen

Apophyllite is a potassium calcium silicate mineral that crystallizes in the form of pyramidal structures, cubic crystals, as well as druzy on a matrix or other minerals. This mineral was named after the Greek word meaning “leaf” because of its unique tendency to crumble when heated. The common color of Apophyllite is clear or white, although it can also be found as grey, yellow, red, and green.

We personally love this specimen because of it's beautiful contrast with its manganese host stone.
